Hi, I'm Evan Sepa a GISP who's spent years building the most modern geospatial apps and actually pushing municipalities-small and large-to innovate through real, provable projects instead of just words.
Then AI showed up like a rogue asteroid and vaporized half my skill tree overnight. Suddenly the only things left that still felt uniquely mine were the handful of battle-tested instincts you can't prompt-engineer. For a hot minute I felt like a Level 99 mage who'd just watched his entire spellbook get nerfed.
But instead of rage-quitting, I teamed up with the AI. Now I'm back, same battle-hardened geospatial sorcerer, freshly empowered with the ultimate artifact weapon. The synergy is ridiculous, and the results are sharper, weirder, and way more fun than either of us could deliver alone.
So yeah... welcome to the new age of building. Same geospatial sorcerer, freshly enchanted, and still refusing to just talk about innovation, ask me, watch me, actually building it.
closing in on 2 decades of mapping, modeling, and pushing the boundaries of what geospatial technology can achieve.
Deep technical skills, AI utilization, and soft skills that have made my presence and solutions top notch.
Like regular data, but with X/Y coordinates! My academia was largely stats, data, and GIS (and economics).
You can't just force people to change. Sometimes people want to change, others put up resistance of different degrees. For the sake of the win I connect with those who are ready.
If you think it isn't, I know you probably formed your opinion from someone else's, or a social media post. We built this site in 10 mins, and 9 of them was me prompting o_0
I take extra time and effort to build solutions that will not require regular maintenance and I can largely walk away from.
I look for the best solutions I can possibly find, then try to duplicate them and even 1-up em. This includes evolving my own solutions again and again.
I largely stick to doing what make sense and has value. Often things are done for the wrong reasons, or the wrong motivations.
Here's the thing -- I leverage AI as a force multiplier. With AI on my team, the real answer to 'can you do that?' is always yes. If the technology exists, we'll figure it out together.
Ever faced a "we can't do that"... I can, just ask. Maybe I'll mock something for fun :P
